Buffett is not the tech moron everyone wants him to be. He oversaw part of the vc money and approved the investment that went into a small firm that became INTC. I am not kidding about that. The best "metaphor" for Buffett's refusal to invest in tech was provided by my brother who compares it to the shift teams used to place on Ted Williams. Ted could have slapped the ball to the opposite field but refused to. Buffett could have capitalized on this tech frenzy but thinks that over many decades, his decision to not participate will work out.

We shall see.
