Toy,
You're a dreamer. If Microsoft settles with the DOJ and doesn't have to give up the farm, the stock runs 50 points in a week...

Thanks Toy, with your blessings I know MSFT is ready make a reversal soon, maybe even starting tomorrow.

You have always been a contrarian indicator around here, rubbing it in when Softee is at its low. You're one of those guys that likes to beat up on people when they're already down. We might even have to call you Marty (that cheap shot hockey guy).

Toy Boy: The great contrarian signal has reappeared. Watch for a 3-5 point move to the upside tomorrow. JFD

Shhhhhh ...

you're gonna burst their bubble. A true Microsoftifarian keeps his/her head in the sand. Why make money with JDSU, CSCO, CIEN, CMTN, ERICY, SWCM, PCMS ... when you can put another upgrade fee into the collection plate?

Or Netscape 6.0 ...

Don't even fret about the DOJ that has little choice but to break MSFT into an OS company and MiscellaneousSoFT.

Bill can't break the company up. He's not stupid. Without illegally leveraging the OS ... where does MSFT go? CE can't compete with the Palm OS. Windows 2000 can't touch Solaris or Linux. Active Directory vs. NDS? Be serious.

Linux is the universal OS. Smartcards to supercomputers.

Torvalds illustrated his point with two kinds of cool big iron: supercomputers and refrigerators. "Both are big boxes, and both can run Linux," he said.

Microsoftifarians are happy. Fantasy beats reality every time. Keep focused on Wintel and a mediocre, outdated OS while the real opportunities lie in wireless, fiber optic networks, universal messaging ...

Let the flames begin.

(It makes them feel better to shoot the messengers.)

Best of luck.

Toy, so just how nice is it to be running Linux on your home PC? Inquiring minds want to know.

into an new OPEN and non-proprietary environment.
