Sure. Just look at the averages (DOW vs NAZ, RUS and S&P) and you'll have your answer. New economy vs old economy. Even MSFT are DELL are being branded "old economy"!

Steve, I agree with your assessment. So far Intel has escaped being branded "old economy" simply because it is able to keep its "monopoly" status thanks to AMD.
I would also say MSFT has a lot potential and can move back into new economy status---just waiting for the catalyst. I am just not that patient to hold a significant amount of MSFT stock at this point.
I would rather take my gains in JDSU, NT or Cisco.

I fully agree in investing in semis, optic and wireless. This is where I am investing . IMHO one has to be very careful in investing in biotechs. Most of the time , we must wait decades to bring a drug to the market in order to prevent or cure a disease. Wall Sreet is too excited about human genome discovery and role of DNA for future generation of drugs. It will takes years to see any return on your investment.
