jay, thank you for another informative response. if i might question you further... if 1186/648 are trending downward currently, at some point do you see them with a reasonable bottom and then heading upward again? at what level do you see a bottom, if any? btw, my wife and i were in hong kong and visited shenzhen and guangzhou where (in shenzhen) we saw an apparent building boom-- huge, massive skyscrapers that would make any western city proud-- except they were all empty. this was shortly before the prc government pulled the plug on (i forget the exact name) the shenzhen development bank or something. i'm in a navy town so any sneeze that might lead to a deployment in the taiwan straits gives the locals here pneumonia.
