Fred, I agree the AIQ ratings aren't too dependable, particularly the sells. I've found sometimes they are helpful with stocks that have strong patterns to begin with and come back to test support, 50 dma's, etc. The 16-56 ratings are a quirk that I heard about several years ago that must have been inserted by some programmer, but often are a guide to where a stock is finding support. When you get several in a row, it's even better. A while back I set up to run a report with the ER settings 16-56, on a group of strong stocks like the techs, but haven't done it in a while, not enough time.
