Dear Bill: As usual, you prove what a great BIG PICTURE thinker you are. I think this video conferencing may even put a hurting on the phone companies. Already I can make telephone calls for free on my computer. I suspect once a great many people have these video cameras on top of their computers and can make the calls for free to boot that will be the end of the old phone. JDN

Rising oil prices are still another reason for this.

Not so sure about any automatic language translation though; besides in the multinational business world, english is common coinage. If anyone goes to work abroad, they'll quickly find out that they won't learn the local language on the job...
