"either the NASD breaks down and heads toward it's 200 dma and we see a 1998 type decline or we bottom out in the SPX and DJIA and have another leg up" --

What about both? If the Nasd is a sector market, couldn't we see another sector rotation back into "dirt-cheap" blue-chips?

John,

There is one more weekly fork that maybe of interest?
Origin: 7/17/98
spread: 9/1/98 Low and 1/14/00 High

This median line is sitting on 9750ñ with a cross on the recent downward daily forks lower tine for 3/3/00ñ a few days.

Now what's interesting is that the forward Time Projection for this fork was for the 4th week of February 2000. To me this suggests that we are close to an interim bottom and next week by the middle of the week the markets should rebound. Atleast they have one more chance. <<smile>>

One more factor...the eclipse last month carried some powerfully negative alignments and that has now played out.

I believe next week will bring a reversal for an extended period? But that is just a supposition.

Thank You for your Great Charts

Chip

John,

Took a look at these stocks you set out:
JNJ, MRK, SGP, ALL, AIG, WFC, S, JCP, WMT, GPS, FNM

From fork land: I like MRK, SGP, and added PFE
These are close to buys on a little further weakness.

ALL, AIG, WEC are a not yet
FNM and the rest I don't like personally

Other Sectors:
Bioteck
Oils
Utilities

>>do we see the big spring washout? stay tuned -g-<<

I don't believe that will happen, to much hot money waiting to be used, but it could..?
