Gay couples don't even have a legal right to make medical decisions for their significant other even if they've lived together for years. They can't even inherit property and valuables if there is no will. They can't share health care benefits, etc. In otherwords, they do not have the rights that heterosexual relationships's enjoy.

Nobody is trying to give them more rights than a hetero-couple, we're trying to give them equal rights. No additional laws would be needed if people weren't biased against them. If you don't believe me, listen to Dr. Laura for the next few days. She is being called on the carpet for "gay bashing". Do you honestly think she is a liberal?
