<<Gay couples don't even have a legal right to make medical decisions for their significant other even if they've lived together for years. They can't even inherit property and valuables if there is no will. They can't share health care benefits, etc. In otherwords, they do not have the rights that heterosexual relationships's enjoy.>>

First, I am not aware of any heterosexual relationships (without a marriage contract) that bestows those "rights" either, so your comparison is invalid. Second, those aren't rights at all, they are privileges. Privileges are not rights.

boy, that's a shame too, a while back one of our local 'gay' news men got a gerbil stuck in his a** and had to go to the hosp. to get it extracted......to think he might have been able to use his """"significant"""" others insurance.........hmmmmmmmmmmm.

This "gay rights" Pandora's box should not be opened. Leaving aside moral objections, how do you distinguish same sex couples who just live together (no sexual relations) or threesomes, foursomes, etc.? Who decides who gets the benefits? Who's to say where the line gets drawn? More government meddling involved. Nope. Keep the floodgates closed. Respect 2000 years of history and tradition. We don't need gay rights. JLA

Change will come and society will be better for it. Of course, you already know that, I bet.
