Epinephrine, I am convinced (for what that's worth) that the on die cache is part of what AMD is waiting for in releasing the 1GHz speed grade. In other words I would be very surprised if AMD doesn't start shipping Thunderbirds as their 1GHz product (if not sooner). We will see. I think it will depend on Intel. If Intel releases 1GHz Coppermine early (within a month or 2), AMD may be pressured to release the original Athlon in 1 GHz. Otherwise, they will just go by their own schedule and release T-bird in Q3. Joe
