DlphcOracl...seems not too smart to bail out of funds, index or otherwise (although I've done some fund-tweaking lately myself and understand some people are more focused than I am on short-term capital preservation). However, the tea leaves are telling the statistical gurus that there could be a huge market surge in the second half of the year. I believe people who try to time the market by jumping in and out of funds wind up cheating themselves. If you aren't in funds during the 5-10 days each year when the market makes its biggest moves, you can lose a lot of your potential gain.
