to all: In order to have the basics for trading I thought a traders subscription to stockhouse plus one other trading site would be enough. My 2nd pick might be stockjournalist. However do I need both? Am I getting a little to complicated? Also can I run two monitors off one computer one for stockhouse (market depth) and one for internet (broker,ect.). Perhaps a suitable paraphrase what is the basic system?

hi olga i have ordered metastock but not yet used it. i normally trade only U.S. stocks and have other charting services that i use for that. i am only now starting to trade Canadian stocks and have been unable to find a satisfactory charting service. my understanding is that metastock will fill the bill for me and when i have it running will also use it for my U.S. trading. i have however spent a fair bit of time with a fellow trader that has used metastock for a considerable amount of time. he says that reuters sometimes has missing days and incorrect values. i know he is a chartist that wants perfection so i am taking him at his word. at endofday there is a download program. then you download their info to folders that you can create (i believe through metastock downloader 7) you can put 2000 stocks in a folder so it is better to source folders by exchange. metastock will then convert the data for its uses. PLEASE REMEMBER i have only seen this twice and will know more when i start to use it myself. if you have trouble with this let me know and i will go back and watch the procedure again or perhaps someone here is more experienced than i. i hope my info helps and does not create a problem or dilema for you. charlie
