LG,

Re distribution (in individual issues)...

At the risk of being simplistic, couldn't you see "smart money" distribution taking place using the Island BookViewer, or other Level II bid/ask display??

If the stock is rising, but

-- the buyers are small and odd-lot

and

-- the sellers are large even lot

then

distribution??

Regards,

doug

I'm not talking about a software program. I'm talking about a simple task of keeping track of price and volume in the major indices and learning the signals that come from that effort. They're easy to spot, and leave little if anything to interpretation.

I've looked at your charts, and they are nice and I thank you for posting them. But, where is it that I can find a reliable indicator on those charts pointing to the kind of distribution signals needed to avoid risk attendant to an intermediate term market change of direction?

BTW, my signals saw no significant distribution signals in October '99, but presaged that as a bottom, and confirmed the bottom on accumulation price and volume signals from the same method.
