Might be worth it to go onto JDSU and GLW threads for the past few weeks to see all the discussion on Corning. Particulary t2's posts. I agree w/ Steve's assessment...

Nottingham forest.
Lets look at this question one year from now.
I am bookmarking these posts for my own curiosity.
JDSU is an excellent company. LU is more problematic. I do feel that GLW is a company in transformation with excellent management that will surprise over the next 1 - 2 years. I still believe it is a sleeper and the potential going forward is substantial. As you may have noticed there is a slight difference in P/E between the two stocks. How much multiple expansion in P/E is possible with JDSU going forward? If JDSU hiccups at all it will be treated harshly. Having said this I am long both on JDSU and GLW. The pricing of JDSU in particular makes me very nervous. I have been very aggressive selling puts on both. Your past and current thoughts on this sector would be much welcomed. I would also refer you Mr. Yag... on the corning thread. This individual is most likely the poster with the most background in the fiber optic sector and he LOVES GLW. Hope that helps.
