So, did our troops wear the uniform of the South Vietnamese or South Korean when our officials decided to send troops to support their missions? Why weren't they wearing Arab uniforms when the US supported Iraq against Iran, or Quait against Iraq, or the uniform of Afgans when supporting them against the Russians?

Of course it is different. Where would you draw the line that is a point of no return. Our military has been primarily serving as a tool of the UN for a while. Is there a point where the allegance becomes blurred. Or like many would you refuse to consider such a possibility until there is no longer a choice.
