Paul, I communicate directly with Eric Schmidt and I haven't had him call me a fool. If you have Eric's ear directly (lucky guy) then why communicate Novell misses, trips, and should-be's here on the board? Tell him - not us. :) What is there to prevent a good idea from going directly to Eric? That question might be best answered by someone like Scott or other ex-Novell staff that could tell you why excellent ideas may not get to Eric (or who knows - maybe they do get to him but execution of the idea within Novell is the problem). I work for an extremely large IT vendor and I can tell you with a ton of personal experience that if Novell has just a fraction of the bureaucracy that I have experienced in bringing a good idea to light - then you wouldn't have even asked the question. But if you have the option of providing ideas to Novell directly via Eric for serious consideration or through the SI discussion boards - I would strongly advise alternative A. Cheers Paul! Toy
