Jozef, <AMD has kept pace with Intel in 64bit CPUs>

You mean AMD already taped-out their 64-bit Sledgehammer back in mid-1999 and is currently shipping thousands of samples to OEM partners as we speak? Congratulations for them! I thought they'd be at least 1.5 years behind Intel in 64-bit technology, but I guess I grossly underestimated them!

Joe - Re: "The number of 64bit AMD CPUs in the market matches Intel's, as do the clock speeds.
It looks like Intel has already lost it's edge."

That is wrong.

Intel has already sampled literally THOUSANDS of ITanium systems.

This isn't production, but these CPUs are "in the market".

However, if it makes you feel good and reinforces your decision to be an AMD investor that is only one day short of Striking It Rich, go ahead and believe that AMD's 64 bit CPUs are equivalent to Intel's.
