RE: Palm sued by E-Pass

Here is another link to the E-Pass matter.

One can never tell in IPO matters but their claim that "The Palm Pilot is in the shape of a ?card?," seems to be a bit of a stretch. Their advertising refers to a credit card size and shape and "ISO" dimensions. ISO 7810 & & 7816 govern the physical dimensions of a "credit Card" & "smart card" respectively and the Palm don't quite match up by a long shot.

Hartmut Hennige was pretty clever to patent a smart card with display, however. Miniature display technology, like Kopin's, will at some point in technology time, be incorporated in an ISO dimensioned smart card.
