Whoah there. You remind me of that guy in the novel "She Needed Me" --can't remember the authors name at the moment, I have it at home though. Actually, except for the news, about the only TV I watch is the History Channel and those nature shows. Like like them a lot. Although that show on elephant seal mating did get pretty violent and immoral... The fact that the guns were stolen only reinforces my position on guns, all guns, in this society. I would be unmerciful with those crackhead child-abusers--and anyone else who uses a gun to commit or abet a crime--lock them up at hard labor and throw away the key--what a pathetic disgusting tragedy. But I also would like to do something sane and decent in the memory of James Brady, and Charleton Heston be damned. I have no higher opinion than you do of TV and it's effects. Our whole culture is gun-ridden and violence-prone and wallows in puerility from top to bottom. The media and Hollywood are complicit hypocrites. The whole culture needs changing from top to bottom on this. But gun-control is just common sense, sanity, a starting point, for all but the extremists in this gun-crazy idiotic nation. The Second Amendment blather is just an excuse for extremists...."well-regulated militia"?, please...
