PB,

re:"The LAUNCH document, says something entirely different; always has.

So, to head off the next round of rumors and Intel bashing a few months out; the pricing document also references an intro price in late May, that has been reported / rumored at some high profile rumor mongering sites. HOWEVER, the LAUNCH document for the same part of interest indicates an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT and LATER date for the actual launch.

Unbelieveable. Magee and The Register strike again. I'm just catching up on the threads after a few days "off", and I don't believe all the flap over this misinterpretation. I wonder why the LAUNCH document didn't get leaked.

BTW, I have yet to see the CORRECT launch date for the PIII 866 actually reported. And no I'm not going to say what it is. It's soon enough."

Look I say that Intel flubbed again.

They should have the smarts to know how to let the press know whats upcoming and when.

Their inability to communicate with the press is absolutely
inexecusable.

They have managed product and speed introductions before.

Why are they doing things differently.

Perhaps they don't when they can introduce parts and they are waiting for the 850/866's to yield adequately.

Instead of trying to get the AThlon to compete with a celeron with tricks and mirrors Intel marketing would be better off introducing faster speed grades and marekting the cumine effectively.

If I was an Intel shareholder i would be pissed as an AMD shareholder i am ROFLMAO.

regards,

Kash

Save your self-righteous indignation for your crony, Paul. Its he who said, "wait until tomorrow."
