Mani,

re: AMD introduction

It can't be true.

Ole Elmer will have to come up with some more lying benchmarks.

And try to convince us that having a big new fab just coming online in a worldwide fab shortage year is bad news.

Even yousef will post his fudd as he save up for the beer money on that case of Gordon Biersch Pilsner beer.

regards,

Kash

Mani,

Intel went ahead and jumped from 800MHz to 1GHz with no steps in between (I guess that if you're going to release vapor it might as well be high speed vapor! LOL) So AMD is "forced" to supply all the speeds in between. I love it! I still hope that AMD doesn't let Intel goad them into jumping the gun but if they are ready and can truly release all three speed grades in any semblance of volume then I guess the rumors were true and AMD really could release 1GHz whenever they wanted to despite Elmer's doubts.

Go AMD!

Thanks,

Epineprhine

I'll talk about it Mani. This is an act of desperation on AMD's part. Clearly they are in panic mode reacting to Intel's bold move.
