Elmer,

Clearly they are in panic mode reacting to Intel's bold move.

Clearly Intel panicked in learning of AMD's excellent yields at 1 GHz.

Oh come on Elmer! So when Intel jumps from 800MHz straight to a 1GHz launch that they admit will not come to full fruition until June it shows strength but when AMD releases 1GHz and also releases 900MHz and 950MHz to fill the gaping hole left by their competitor they are desperate and panicked. There is one company who is acting desperate and I am disappointed that you lack the objectivity to see which one. If AMD had initiated a move like the one Intel just did I would be furious. There is no good in it.

Thanks,

Epinephrine

Elmer - RE: "This [900, 950,1000] is an act of desperation on AMD's part."

How do you see this as desperate?

I'll talk about it Mani. This is an act of desperation on AMD's part. Clearly they are in panic mode reacting to Intel's bold move.

EP, skipping 3 speed grades is bold? Forfeiting profits is bold? Launching vaporware is bold?

What do they serve for lunch at the Intel cafeteria?
