Re: "So when Intel jumps from 800MHz straight to a 1GHz launch that they admit will not come to full fruition until June it shows strength but when AMD releases 1GHz and also releases 900MHz and 950MHz to fill the gaping hole left by their competitor they are desperate and panicked."

Yup. I guess that about sums it up.

Fact is that it has been published that Intel had a new stepping coming out. Why is it so hard to believe that they have made a jump in frequency and availability? PB has been telling you for months that there was lots of headroom in the design. Intel showed silicon that has transistors switching at 3GHz. What process do you think that was from? You guys are just stuck in the mind set that says Intel will screw up forever. This is painful for you, I know, but you are going to have to come to grips with this. There is lots more headroom still above 1GHz. Lots more.
