Elmer,

<At this point Intel hasn't said a thing so I think it's a little premature to say what they did or didn't do.>

If Intel didn't do anything then how can you claim they are ahead? And the articles that you have been citing directly quote Intel representatives. How can you say Intel hasn't said a thing????

<Until we see what they are launching how can I respond?>

Elmer, again with due respect, you have been claiming since last night that the 1GHz systems were coming without drawing a distinction as to whether they were coming at Intel's prompting or the OEMs. Also, to claim that OEMs are releasing 1GHz systems without Intel's blessing is ludicrous. Intel representatives made statements on the record yesterday why are you hedging on that now?

<Well I'm sorry to point the finger at you, I was speaking generically. I don't mean to imply that anything can scale infinitely, but just as people are confident Athlon will scale so will CuMine continue to scale and so will AMDites claim it can't. Something to do with the pipeline being too short.>

I understand that Coppermine and all of the trashing that it gets is a sore spot for you, now you must know how it felt when you were constantly trashing the K6II and calling Athlon the "MIA-thlon" In truth though Coppermine's pipeline is indeed shorter and that is truly a disadvantage in scaling. The fact that Intel has scaled it anyway is much to their credit

Thanks,

Epinephrine

PS: I am sorry if I am coming across as harsh in my last few posts but you really are cracking me up! :)
