To padoc, thanks for posting again. While we wait, we can debate 1-for-10 vs. 1-for-4. Part of the advantage of being on the NASDAQ is qualifying for purchase by mutual funds. While a tight float of 25-30 million shares may be a BB investor's dream, this presents a problem to a mutual fund. Many funds have restrictions on the percentage of the outstanding shares of a company the fund can own. For example, a fund may be prohibited from owning more than 1% of a company's outstanding. If the o/s is 25 million, then 1% is 250,000. Many mutual funds would not even bother with a company if they could only buy that small amount. It simply doesn't affect their overall portfolio enough to matter........The other issue is liquidity. The BB investor dreams of the tight-float stock which pops on good news. The mutual fund is afraid of being the elephant in the middle of the room. How does the elephant leave quietly without disturbing others? The mutual fund needs liquidity. My prediction is a 1-for-4 reverse split taking the o/s down to 65 million. The fat lady sings in a month! Regards, Suzanne
