EP,

re:"intel launch"

Why are you so upset????

Intel will do a limited launch.

This will get TREMENDOUS consumer press.

AMD will launch this month as well with at least CPQ and GTW and maybe more.

AMD will sell everyone they can make as will Intel.

Proportionally this helps AMDs BOTTOM LINE by a HUGE amount.

Just imagine 200K more Athlons at 1Ghz at $500 OEM price.

Sure helps the bottom line don't it.

AMD is TOO small to drive high end demand. They have had to down bin parts.

Now they will sell every high end CPU they can make.

THIS IS HUGE for AMDs bottom line.

regards,

Kash

Epiwhine - re: "No I am "whining" because that's all this is for Intel. Just PR"

WRONG !!!!

Intel has enough volume production to supply IBM, Dell and HP with suitable quantities of 1 GHz Coppermines for THESE COMPANIES to commit their OWN launch and production schedule.

And apparently, they will be launching on March 8, 2000 !

Face it.

All the while you and SpryGuy and DUMbria and Stevie Blunder were patting yourselves on the back, laughing at Intel being so far behind AMD, Intel was RAPIDLY but QUIETLY catching up.

And now, Intel has SURPASSED AMD.

And you and SpryGuy and DUMbria and Stevie Blunder are DUMBFOUNDED in disbelief.

Welcome to the FUTURE !

Paul
