It's NOT heredity. His mother Barbara, is VERY pro choice. Where you been? His family is divided - and his dad was not into divisive issues either. Actually, the Bush family is not big on divisive issues. Their focus is on Education, Taxes, Military - not the divisive social issues. In Texas he has been BOO-ED at the Republican State Convention for his speech on unity - unity of Pro Life and Pro Choice factions. His favorite running mate is Christy Todd Whitman. They are very good friends. Also, he is close to our senator, Kay Bailey Hutchison, another pro choice person. However, he has a serious problem with the party right wing, on this one.
