your troops back home are rationalizing why limited editions are great now because of the demand for production later.

Paul, Re:<PRODUCTION VOLUMES>

As you know, some of us misinterpreted Intel's description that the Cumine ramp was progressing "as planned" as meaning PRODUCTION VOLUMES - we mistakenly jumped to the conclusion that Intel would not want to upset their OEMs with short supply.

Rather than asking you to put a precise figure on what you mean by PRODUCTION VOLUMES, here is a different question.

How many OEM's do you think will be happy with the volumes they receive, and how many will be badmouthing Intel in public yet again?

<Denial, Epiwhine?>

Yes denial, but not mine, yours!!
dailynews.yahoo.com
"We will target 1GHz in the first half to people that can really appreciate it, such as PC enthusiasts, such as high-end gamers," said Intel spokesman George Alfs last week. "It really will be limited volume in Q2."

This is a direct quote of an Intel representative. Go ahead, deny that it is true and prove my point that you are the one in denial!

<Just like an AMD Cheelreader !>

Whatever, you know what I think about you and your claims that everyone who doesn't agree with you and fails to fall in at your side and pay homage to Intel is an AMD cheerleader. It only goes to show just how blinded by your own cheerleading that you are.

<Face it - Intel is IN PRODUCTION with 1 GHz Coppermines.>

Face it, no they are not!!!

<Any journalist can call it Limited Edition - but when THREE TOP TIER OEMs - Dell, HP & IBM - launch 1 GHz Coppermine systems, they do so only when they are assured of production volumes.>

That wasn't a journalist that I was quoting it was a journalist directly quoting a statement made by an Intel representative I don't know why OEMs would put up with Intels crap at this point but whatever the reason it is definately not because Intel is providing the volumes to support a real launch. If Intel was doing so they would be trumpeting that fact not having their representatives out making on the record quotes that admit that "It really will be limited volume in Q2." (Hint, that's a direct quote again)

<And believe me - they will be receiving PRODUCTION VOLUMES.>

So my choice is to assess the situation with common sense and to pay attention to statements made by Intel representatives and credible journalists (CNet, ZDNet) or to take your word for it?... Sorry, You lose!!!

You are the biggest cheerleader on this thread and the fact that in spite of that you continue to accuse others of being cheerleaders also makes you the biggest joke!
