The cost to keep customers happy in migrating from Iridium to ICO and T would be enormous. He would have had to keep Iridium working nearly perfectly and give away new phones for the new service. There was no way he could come out a winner. Even if all he bought was the spectrum, he would also buy the liability to keep the service going. Mot is going to be in big trouble over this default.

I have always thought that Teledesic will never, ever be built (but, we'll have to wait a long time to see if I am correct on that one ...)
