Re: "Not surprisingly, I fully expect a report of a P3 1gig HP at FRYs in Arizona Sunday evening."

Stevie, I understand your bitterness. Intel beats AMD to 1 GHz and your world is shattered. You have been told by people here who were supposed to know what they were talking about, that CuMine can't possible keep up with Athlon. So how could you have seen this coming? Intel was supposed to keep screwing up forever right? I mean just because they did so well for 25 years, a couple of months of sub par performance means that's it forever, right? And just because AMD screwed up for 25 years, a couple of months of good performance means they will have total mastery forever and they'll never screw up again, right? So I don't blame you for being in denial. You have a lot of adjusting to do and it takes time.

Small steps Stevie, small steps.

steve, well, with all this one-ups-manship the logical thing would be a Saturday launch at Dresden and that will be in very few hours from now, what with the 5 hour time delay here in the Eastern time zone. Dresden is +1 GMT and I am -5 GMT. Hell now that I have said that will Intel have a midnight California launch?
Anything could happen.

Bill
