Zoltan,

Interesting poll results. It appears that the McCain
gambit to attack the Christians in the Republican Party
has backfired. I saw the old Reagan Advisor Mike Deaver
on the boob tube the other day. He was asked "Which
candidate was most like Reagan?" His answer was that
neither really was since Ronald Reagan had a rule about
not attacking other Republicans. I thought that was a
really good point. One of the best things about Reagan
was his disarming attitude even toward his enemies. I
remember when that Russian Sub was floundering in the
Atlantic Ocean and pictures of the stricken crew were
on all the news headlines. Reagan stated to his Cabinet
"Good God, is there anything we can do for those men?"
Later he actually phoned Gorbachov and asked if he wanted
any assistance. The Chairman answered "No". That was
Ronald Reagan for you. I think we should begin the plans
for his bust on Mt. Rushmore...
