Big Stinger,

You seem like you may be interested in QCOM as a long term investment, yet your focus is fixated on the next quarter. Investors have a longer term horizon than that, and there are events which could propel the stock higher, regardless of next quarter's EPS. What could happen?: 1)More concrete terms for China 2) Evidence mounting that making your own CDMA ASICS is futile and may as well just buy Q's 3)A.T. & T. will probably become a QCOM customer sooner or later. 4) NOK agreement 5)Europe CDMA
Maybe none of these things will happen shortly. But while you are hoping that Q has lousy earnings and plummets to $100(or $80 or $50 or $10 )and then Super Bug jumps on it, maybe good news will happen, maybe earnings are a little better, maybe management is very bullish in the CC, and WHAM! QCOM is at $175 and SPLAT! Skeeter Bug's plan backfires and he's scratching his thorax. Last December's earnings exceeded estimates but it was Q's improved prospects which smoked the stock up.
If you think QCOM is a good long term play just get in. If not...a lot of people on this thread are reaching for the mosquito repellent.

Investors constipation? If you believed what you said you'd be shorting Q, but that's too bold for SB.

Regards,

Craig
