Cliff, Things quiet in here until: a. The "E" is lifted; and, On February 11, 2000, approximately, the PLFM stock symbol will be modified by the appending of an "E" suffix, to "PLFME." This will be the temporary, new stock symbol for PLFM, and it will be required to find "PLFME" on stock quotation services. The "E" suffix on the PLFM stock symbol shall remain in effect until March 9, 2000, approximately. b. The beta test in Brazil goes off without a hitch and PLFM hits a homerun. Until then, there doesn't seem to be a lot to talk about ... only a lot of waiting and speculating to do. In for the long haul, Rory.

Personally don't care if the board is quiet here. Can't keep up with the "RB" posts; and I'm retired with time on my hands. Makes you wonder how K-,K-,F-,and S- on the "no" side of the fence can put in the time they do on "RB" board.

(AP) -- MCI WorldCom has begun testing wireless delivery of high-speed Internet service for homes and businesses in three small markets. The trials in Jackson, Miss., Baton Rouge, La., and Memphis, Tenn., are part of a plan to provide a high-capacity ``broadband' link to the Web without paying to use cable TV wires and telephone lines owned by other companies. Last year, before they agreed to merge, MCI WorldCom and Sprint both began buying licenses around the country to transmit signals with the wireless technology called Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service -- also known as fixed wireless because the customer doesn't change locations like a mobile phone user. The companies also view wireless service as a way to reach suburban and rural areas where the cable and telephone networks haven't been upgraded for high-speed digital transmission. ........ Instead of using the satellite dish, those cutomers will plug a wireless modem into their computers, enabling those with laptops to roam their apartments or anywhere else in the complex and connect to the Internet without a wire.
