Re: GE; I worked for GE as a manager and I guarantee you that they will get the Titanium from the least cost vendor. I do not believe they will sign any long term contract, but will purchase as needed via specification. I am also sure that the GE/Boeing contract has clauses that insure GE will make a profit!!!!!

I am not an expert, but it is my understanding that the manufacturing process to make industrial Titanium generates a lot of unfriendly waste. The cost to eliminate this waste from the environment is costly. RTI when spun off from United States Steel had huge clean up costs and was/is working with the EPA to stay out of jail. TIE was having problems with, I think Nevada, with waste problems. Of course each company states that they are good citizens. <g>
