McCain would be beholden to Safire and the Weekly Standard crowd? How does that fit in with the liberal media conspiracy idea, Charley? Won't McCain be beholden to the co-conspirators there? Meanwhile, allegedly W won't be beholden to the Pat Robertson crowd when the time comes for the next "best man for the job" ala Clarence Thomas, I guess. Or to all the others dumping millions into his campaign, by whatever channel available. Once again, it's all entertainment to me.
