During this rally, carefully chosen inexpensive biotechs are a terrific way for kids to enter the market. My sons both got started on 2/22 with $12K each -- their life savings. By selling half after a double, they both have already acquired a basket of four stocks. One kid's account is up to 16K tonight, the other kid's (the one who bought 1000 PARS on 3/1) is up to 19K. (He sold half today; bought GLIA with the profits; has GLIA tagged for a long-term hold.) Cheers!
