The day trading kids didn't know the difference between a large cap stock with a lot of float vs a thinly traded stock. They used the same formula to run up XLA and COMS. I really hope the speed with which COMS returned to earth will send a strong signal to these clowns.

I think it is more a poster child of how financial engineering can fail at some point. I am rather surprised the PALM scheme didn't pan out so quickly. Some of the clowns that bought palm have to be shell shocked.

Next thing you know the market will quit jamming stocks that announce a split. -g-
