your purpose on this board always seems to confuse me. i know that in the past you have claimed to own as many as 9000 shs of MSFT but your comments are more suitable for some a person that is short 9000 shs.

why anyone would be so skeptical of MSFT's growth and still own this stock is beyond me. if you no longer own this stock and are here to annoy everyone like CT, then i guess it makes sense.

Why should Win2000 be a very successful product ? For a
number of reasons, I speculate.

One, it is a more modern operating system, drawing from the
good sides of Unix and others. It is designed from ground
up to be a datacenter OS. Its securty model is substantially
better than Unix.

Two, it is upward compatible with the rest of the windows
so there is a migration path for existing users.

Three, is the power of the gorilla behind it.
