Some of the confusion about WIND's Linux position is the distinction between Linux as a host (i.e. the developer uses a Linux desktop) versus Linux as an embedded OS. My understanding was that WIND will offer the former and not the latter and does not expect other suppliers' embedded Linux to be a threat. Embedded Linux is a large footprint system and would be more of a threat to other large footprint embedded systems.
