We are talking two different areas here based on the GE news. That news release from Honeywell states clearly, home and building control. Items like lights, appliances, etc etc. Where as GE/Tosh. and me are talking process and plant control. Process and plant control are very complicated operations, the require very complex algorithms, elon will not play in this field. It all comes down to the following question: Why would you need to network the process control devices? I'm going to look into it further. I will report back if I find anything that changes my mind.
