While I admit that I'd like o see higher volumes, it doesn't seem like a very strong argument to say that if they are releasing some 1 GHz product it proves they can't make 866 & 933MHz product. You didn't say that but I think you post leads to that conclusion. All in all I would expect to see the gap filled soon.

The launch of the 1GHz Athlon is getting good free press. This news release is even trying to tag along:

The company makes memory modules. While most any should work in the 1GHz systems... nice to see a company that wants to be part of the game and in doing will increase awareness of AMD & Athlon as offering a high-end microprocessor.
