But that is exactly my point if they can make 8xx and 9xx versions but are choosing not to release because they are not ready to do so then how can they claim to be ready to release 1GHz? In effect they are saying we still haven't even done 8xx or 9xx and we dont plan to for a few weeks but hey look we are doing 1GHz! I am sure that they can produce some 1GHz but the fact that they released 1GHz before they released lower speed grades which you yourself claim (and I agree) that they can indeed make but aren't ready to release only serves to emphasize how desperate they were to appear as though they had not lost the race. In that regard it was pure PR and nothing more.
