OpenTV issues 2.252 mln shrs to Echostar AMSTERDAM, March 7 (Reuters) - U.S. digital software maker OpenTV (NasdaqNM:OPTV - news) said on Tuesday it would issue 2.252 million class A ordinary shares to Echostar Communications(NasdaqNM:DISH - news) as of February 22. OpenTV, which on February 23 announced a teaming up with Echostar to develop a low-cost digital set top box for the U. S. mass market, said it would issue the shares on March 7. In exchange, Echostar will provide OpenTV with a share of revenues from hard-drive applications developed by OpenTV for the venture. --------------- hummm....
