GMPCS has put up comprehensive price list for international LD and international roaming

gmpcs-us.com

First time I've seen concrete pricing for all scenarios.

Intl LD from US/Canada seems kind of steep at a per minute premium to the standard G* price ranging from $0.70 (W. Europe, Bahama, US VI) to 1.50 (E. Europe, Med, MidEast, Caribbean, Central and S. America, Pac Rim) to 2.50 (rest of world) . Has anyone tried G* sat mode access to 1-800 or 10-10-XYZ numbers for other LD carriers lately?

OTH, Intl roaming, when it's available, is priced pretty reasonably, imo. In-country calls when outside N.America are only $0.40/minute higher than calls w/in US/Canada.

There are also rates given for for international calls from outside US to US/Zone 1 and to rest of world ranging from 2.59 to 3.99/minute.

The GMPCS basic G* rates are unchanged from those announced a few weeks ago and remain about 10% cheaper than any other G* SPs published rates.

Maybe sales were slow at the distributor Merrill talked to because GMPCS is taking all the business!
