Maybe Tom is one of the reviewer/benchmarkers that likes to make Intel, and anyone associated with them, look bad.

He's an AMD rah-rah. He claims he isn't, but AFAIK there's one article critical of AMD on his site and it's one that he prefaced with a "See, I'm not anti-Intel" statement when he posted it.

Dear Tony: After reading the posted benchmarks, remarks by Rudedog and others I am now TOTALLY confused. For the life of me, I can see NO REASON why INTC would PUSH RMBS unless they were SURE it represents a vast improvement in total overall speed of the system. Afterall, RMBS is at least for now, very expensive. This is something I MUST get resolved over the next couple of months not for investing purposes but for purposes of deciding which system to buy.
