<<< They did not do that in 1999, where the 4th quarter was roughly 50% higher than Q1 in profits, not 500% higher<<

There is your answer. It is very simple really.

Q4 = 1.5Q1

But if Q1 = 2RealQ1 without overshipping, then Q4 = 3RealQ1.

I am waiting for the Bill Gates X-Box pitch on Friday. Since it's release will be many months after PS2 and Dolphin hit US shores, it will be interesting how they intend to catch Sony and Nintendo. I suspect they will really smooze 3rd party game developers. Sony and Nintendo need first wave of buyers taking home their titles first to make up for skimpy margins on platforms. Billy already has the cook book for owning a market, lots of applications written for your motor. So I suspect MSFT is going to offer title writers lots of incentives or they've made game development on the X-Box far less costly then for PS2 and Dolphin. I suspect THQ will issue a PR Friday or soon after with their X-Box plans. Is Evil Dead really designed for X-Box??

(Oh, by the way it is impossible to get sued for exceeding your estimates, could never happen.)
