I agree.

I never could understand why McCain changed his original reforms to let Big Labor out. He did that to win Dem votes - no reform for them that gores their ox.

But by doing so he lost the GOP. McCain then went on and gave the Media and the Dems a huge weapon in which to bash the Republicans, making the latter seem unreasonable to the unknowing masses.

It had to be just a campaign scheme by McCain.
