I have a friend who is a real technology bug -- reads everything published and understands it all too! I happen to be talking to him today and he is like real excited about some technology. I ask what it is and he says something about all optical switches and biggest thing since fiber optics and changing photons into electrons being the expensive part of voice and data transfer and how some company called Agilent can now carry data, voice, and video without this conversion from light signals into electronic signals, and on and on and on. I ask if it's a public company. He says, "who cares -- the cost of communications will go way down because of this invention." I ask, "will this company make a lot of money?" He says, "more than Microsoft!"

Have you checked this Agilent out? I trust this guy to know what he's saying. Even in this uncertain market, I'm buying tomorrow.

I remain,

SOROS
