Thank You both Tom and Bernie,

I had hardly thought that my seemingly simple query could generate so much discussion. Notwithstanding, I certainly appreciate it as I have already learned a lot from it.

Here are a few comments/observations:

(1) The time factor is certainly an important factor when one considers that there is cash earning interest. All things being equal it is better to wait to buy as there is more cash to earn interest. Similarly it is better to sell as early as possible so that the money received can begin to collect interest (assuming there are no or minimal dividends of course). However as Tom correctly points out ... time was not a feature of my original query. The point was that each time we checked, the price dropped by 1/8 th regardless of wether we checked once every year or once (assuming it were possible) every nano second.

It should be noted that one of the chief differences between AIM and the Money Spinner is that the latter is concerned only with price changes whenever they happen. Thus using the Money Spinner one could have dozens of trades per day assuming both that the stock were volatile enough and that one was constantly observing. In practice of course the frequency of trading approximates that of AIM I would think.

(2)Bernie, I may have some comments/questions on your latest set of numbers. If I do I will post them in another message later today. If I don't post it means that I have been able to duplicate your numbers.

(3) I have noticed that some posts (some of yours Bernie though also perhaps others) do not wrap in the message box but extent to the right of the screen in my browser (i.e. Microsoft Explorer). Does this problem originate with you or is there something that I can do to view these post without having to scroll horizontally?

Thanks Again Tom and Bernie,

Barry Savage
