Good points, Gary. I bought in the money NN calls this morning with generous lead time. Paid less than $2 premium over current NN quote -- better than $2 advantage if the current NN price is calculated in accord with stated exchange rate for NN/ALA shares.

Sold all my NN shares at the same time for $36 even. Have cash -- looking for mischief :-)

Mike

Someone "bought" and someone "sold" on every transaction or is that too elementary a concept? The only thing I've found (during my professional days :-) ) to have a reasonable degree of predictability with options and the underlying stock is that large "blocks" of deep in the money calls are bullish and large "blocks" of deep in the money puts are bearish for the near term future of the stock price. Also, large volume in out of the money calls (cheap price) is bearish. Perhaps the game has altered now with all the online trading.
